Events and Seminars

A debate competition was organized by Industrial Development Finance Corporation at Hindu College of Delhi University on 29th October, 2013. IDFC has been an integral part of the country's development story since 1997. IDFC work closely with government entities and regulators to advise and assist them in formulating policy and regulatory frameworks that support private investment and public-private partnerships in infrastructure development.

The main objective of the competition was to make the youth aware of the environmental related issues and make them passionate to protect their earth, from environmental crisis. The event started with motivational speech from Mr. Cherin Thomas CEO of IDFC. He discussed the importance of sustainable development and pollution free environment.

Teams from 22 colleges participated in the event. They had to present their views bilingually, either in Hindi or in English. Following two teams from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in the event:

The Second team from DGI, GN made it to the finals. In the finals, Hansraj College team were declared winner.

At the end of the event participants and winners were awarded with participation certificates. It was a great experience as students could explore more on concerns and environmental related problems that could enhance their knowledge. The event has definitely motivated students to be concerned and act on degrading environment.
