BABA SAHEB AMBEDKAR JAYANTI

NSS Wing of Dronacharya Group of Institutions (DGI), Greater Noidapaid tributes to the great legend, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his Birth Anniversary, 14th April 2017. His birthday celebration was a token of respect paid to such a great saint who tirelessly worked for promoting social justice, removal of inequality and for amelioration of the conditions of weaker section of our society.

To mark the occasion, a Quiz - Competition was also organized.

Addressing the participants, Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Bagga, Director - DGI, Greater Noida said that Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, popularly known as Baba Saheb Ambedkar, was a jurist, social reformer and politician who has left an indelible imprint through his immense contribution in framing the modern constitution of India.   He further stated that the efforts of Baba Saheb to eradicate social evils like untouchablity and caste restrictions were remarkable.

Around 50 students of DGI, Greater Noida were shortlisted for participation in the final round of the quiz competition. Based on their performance the Quiz master declared the result of the competition.

The First Prize was bagged by Sri Prakash IV Semester & Rati Kumari Jha CSE II Semester,Second Prize went to Rishika Razdan CSIT II Semester, Ananya Thakur CSE VI Semester & Vijay Shankar CSE II Semester whereas Sandeepan Samanta Civil IV Semester & Ratnesh Kumar Mechanial II semester stood Third.

The winners were awarded with medal and certificates by Prof. B. L. Kaul, Registrar, Prof. T. P. N. Singh, Advisor R&D and Prof D. V. Bhise, HOD - Mechanical Engineering in the presence of NSS Program Officer Dr. Abhishek Swami and other faculty members of the college. The certificate of participation was given to every participant as a token of encouragement.

The quiz - competition ended with a vote of thanks by the faculty coordinator Dr. Sunil K. Mishra who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries of the college for extending every support and thanked the participants for showing their interest in this quiz competition.
