BIRLASOFT CAMPUS PLACEMENT

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida hosted the Campus Placement drive for B. Tech 2014 batch for BirlaSoft on November 19th, 2014. The eligible branches were B. Tech – CSE, IT and ECE and they all very actively participated in the drive.

Birlasoft is an Information Technology firm providing services in the fields of Manufacturing, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Media & Healthcare industry. It is a part of the 150-year-old, multi-billion dollar CK Birla Group. Birlasoft has a strength of around 4000 personnel.

In 1995, the CK Birla group set up Birla Horizons International in order to explore the new field of information technology. The venture foundered without focus for a couple of years until 1998, when a Fortune 10 company joined the company as a strategic investor. The company was then renamed Birlasoft Inc and began focusing on providing services to clients in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance and Manufacturing industries.

Birlasoft's portfolio of services now includes Enterprise Application Services, Custom Application Services and Specialized services like Testing, Analytics and Logistics.

Mr. Sharad Kumar, Head Talent Acquisition and Ms. Shobhita Sood - Manager University Hiring along with their 10 member delegate TEAM visited the premises for the same.

74 students from CSE and IT took part in the placement activity. The session started with the company’s presentation in which Ms. Sood explained about the working environment of the company. She also explained various clients the organization has. Further to this presentation she asked the students about their area of expertise and segregated the students accordingly for the interview. The interview was based on coding and programming. The students were asked the write the codes and various algorithms and explained the functioning of the same.

The students were grilled on their abilities to comprehend things and adjustment with the work culture.

The event ended at 03:00 PM with a Vote of Thanks by our Hon’ble Director - Dr. M S Murali.
