Two Days Workshop on CISCO Networking Academy Confrence And Instructor Retooling Workshop 2014 was held at Amity University, Noida on November 20th and 21st, 2014. Faculty members from various educational Institutions participated in this workshop. The objective of the workshop was to make the participants aware regarding up gradation in CISCO Networking Security. |

Mr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dr. Sarika Agarwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering &. Mr. Pawan Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities, from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the workshop as a delegate. |

The event was flanked by Mr. Sreevalsan M (Head – ICTS, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham), Mr. B. S. Ananth (Technical Manager – SAARC, CISCO Networking Academy) and Ms. Anuradha (Program Manager Social Innovation Group, India & SAARC), Mr. Yogesh Pandey (Cisco Systems) & Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Kumar Khatri (Director, Amity Institute of Information Technology). The conference was inaugurated by the dignitaries with the lighting of lamp followed by bouquet presentation. |

In his inaugural speech, Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Kumar Khatri presented his views on effectiveness of the workshop. Prof. Khatri emphasized on many more such events to make the students industry ready and to compete at par with students from other countries on a global scale. |

The first session was conducted by Ms. Anuradha Sharma who presented a brief description of the various technologies being offered by CISCO to the Instructor in the area of networking. Ms. Sharma also explained the significant changes made in the new curriculum designed by CISCO for students. |

In the Second session Mr. B.S. Ananth focused on the Academic Support Centre and explained the use of Netscape to get resources like Course Power Point slides and study material for making the students aware. |

The next session was conducted by Mr. Nitin kumar, CISCO on “CISCO Mobility”. Mr. Nitin explained the wireless applications like Indoor GPS, Cisco Maps, Navigation tools to know the exact location. Mr. M. Sreevalsan presented a detailed description on “Support Services like Cisco Academy” and “Academic Support Center”. Mr. Sreevalson discussed all the steps to be followed by an Institute to become a CISCO Academy. |

21st November, 2014
In The First technical session Mr. Shailesh Jadhav, CRISP Bhopal, focused on the “NetFlow feature in packet tracer 6.1” and explained how information can be collected, analyzed and used in the network application using wireshark.

In the post lunch session Mr. B.S. Ananth, Technical Manager discussed on the "Understanding OSPF and EIGRP Using Show and Debug command'". Mr. Ananth discussed various commands to instruct the router and explained how to secure Routers and switches from Hackers. |

The last session of the event was conducted by Mr. Vivek Srivastava from CISCO Mr. Srivastava discussed the “CISCO Security for Higher Education ” by focusing on the role of Educational organizations. |
|
Mr. Srivastava explained that Educational Organizations must accommodate a growing number of students, employees, contractors, and parents who expected to connect with networks. He also pointed out how CISCO helps institution to deliver highly secure mobile experiences for users through an architectural approach. |

The event ended with the distribution of Certificates by Prof. (Dr.) Khatri, Director, Amity Institute of Information Technology followed by Vote of Thanks. |
