CSI Student Branch of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organised a two - day workshop on “Web Development Application” in association with Robotech Labs on 2nd & 3rd March 2017 in celebration of the CSI Annual Day. 42 students of CSE and CSIT Second Year participated in the workshop.

The objective of the workshop was to provide knowledge and help students develop skills to craft websites and web-based applications. It was also meant to make the students understand the needs of the industries for such web-based applications and web designing.

The program was coordinated by Ms. Shalini Sharma (SBC DGI CSI Branch), Mr. Manoj Kumar Yadav (Assistant Professor) and CSE second year students Mr. Apraitm Kumar Singh, Mr. Chaitanya Singh and Mr. Sahil Rajput.

The program started with lighting of lamp. It was followed by the floral welcome of the Chief Guest Dr. R. C. Tripathi, Chairman, CSI Noida Chapter, Mr. Aniket Yadav(Technical Trainner, Robotech Labs) and Mrs. Shruti Gupta (Assistant Trainer, Robotech Labs) by  Prof. (Dr). S. K. Bagga, Director, DGI, Greater Noida.

Dr. R. C. Tripathi described the concept of Ethical Hacking and explained the new techniques of application development.

Mr Aniket Yadav started the session with the explanation of the basics of Web Application Development and the use of such applications. He discussed the history of HTML Language used in the process. Mr Yadav later provided a tool called Brackets (Editor) with setup files which helped students in creating website sample. The concept of CSS (Cascade Style Sheet) was also introduced by the trainer with a complete guide on the use of Bootstrap Program which facilitates to accelerate the design of a website.

Students were then asked to work on their website as practice and. Participants were assigned the task of website creation for the next day.

On the Second day, the session began with a brief revision of Day-1 session.  Mr. Yadav then explained the advance level of the Hands on Training with various add - ons for the website. He briefly explained PHP & Java - Script and their usage in web designing.  The students were encouraged to host their websites online and were guided to the process of Hosting using free services (e.g. dgi.96.lt). The Hands - on - training was followed by a Question - Answer session where the students actively interacted and got their queries answered.
