International workshop for
“Cloud Computing and its Application”
 
 

An International Workshop on “Cloud Computing and its Applications” was organized by Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida on 17th February 2013. Eleven students from the CSE department attended the workshop.

The conference started with a welcome speech and a brief introduction on “Cloud Computing” by Shree S. R. Lakha, Vice Chancellor, Gautam Buddha University.

Prof. Bharat Bharghav from Purdue University, USA discussed the basics of cloud computing. It was an exciting session with innovative ideas in the field of cloud based android phone application for blinds.

Prof. Shyam Gupta from IIT, Delhi conducted a session on Ph.D and benefits of higher education. This was an intellectual survey on the PhD holders and a personality development session for the teachers of GBU.

The third session was conducted by Dr. Deepak Garg. He shared fascinating techniques and applications of cloud computing and data storage. The next session by Mr. Navaid Zafar Rizvi enlightened the audience about the traditional IT, accessing cloud computing as an entrepreneur, broad knowledge of cloud computing citing suitable sites as examples.

The last session was conducted by Mr. Shiv Kumar (SITP, New Delhi). He discussed accessing cloud computing and how Industry is benefited by cloud computing. The students were highly benefitted from the discussions about this contemporary topic from renowned speakers.
