Celebration of Constitution Day

 

26th November, 2015

   

Constitution Day was celebrated on 26th November, 2015 by Literary Club, DGI, Gr. Noida in order to increase awareness about constitution amongst students. The aim of the event was to inculcate values in the young minds and also inspire them to be law abiding citizens of the country. It is believed that this small effort will enhance the ability of students regarding their responsibilities towards the Nation.

The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Prof. S.K Bagga, Director, DGI Gr. Noida. Speaking on the occasion, he threw light upon the hardships and journey of Dr. B.R Ambedkar, the architect of Indian Constitution, from the making to the enforcement of the Constitution.

Ms. Attadeepa Maurya, Coordinator - DGI Literary Club read out the ‘PREAMBLE’ of the Constitution.

The inauguration was followed with the conduction of following activities:

1. Quiz Competition

2. Essay Writing Competition (Hindi & English)

3. Poster Making Competition

In the Quiz competition ten teams (2 members each) participated in which questions based on Fundamental Rights and Human Rights were asked. Quiz competition was carried out verbally in two rounds.

Essay Writing Competition was conducted after Quiz Competition. This competition provided an opportunity to the participants to exhibit their vision of prosperous Nation in future. All the participants presented their views in a creative manner. The topic for the essay was “Indian Constitution Is a Base to Maintain Democracy in India”. The views of the young minds flabbergasted the jury members and made this event successful.

 

In Poster Making Competition the students presented their varied visions related to the activities being done in India and also suggested the message that Indian Constitution is the only book which diminishes all sorts of ill-will and malice in the country.

 

The event ended with the Valedictory Session in which all the winners were felicitated with Certificates and Medals.

II Prize:            Shiv Kumar Arora (CSE - A  I Year) & Kapil Chaudhary (CSE - A  I year)

Hindi Essay Writing Competition

I Prize: Mohd. Khuwaja Meharban   (CSE - A  I YEAR)
II Prize: Shiv Kumar Arora    (CSE - B  I YEAR)
III Prize: Nishant Kumar      (ME  I YEAR)

 
 

English Essay Writing Competition

I Prize: Chhaya Lodhi         (CSE - A  I YEAR)
II Prize: Akanksha  Pokhriyal     (CSE - A I YEAR)
III Prize: Apratim Kumar Singh          (CSE - A I YEAR)

 
 

Poster Making Competition
