INTERACTIVE SESSION

PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industries organized an interactive session on ‘Cost Effective IT Solutions for MSME Industry’ in collaboration with Kabeer Infotech Systems India Pvt. Ltd. on 3rd November, 2014 at PHD House, New Delhi. Dr. Sahab Singh, Assistant Professor (MBA) along with Nandini Kaushal and Atul Jaiswal, students of Computer Science & Engineering from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the event as delegates.

The objective of the event was to generate awareness and sensitivity towards various cost effective IT solutions and their applications to help MSMEs.

The event began with the inaugural speech by Mr. Rajiv Mathur, Secretary, ICT Committee, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Mr. Rajiv welcomed the panelists and delegates and requested to share their knowledge of IT Solutions and Entrepreneurship.

Mr. Rajnish Goenka, Chairman, Delhi NCR Committee, PHDCCI discussed the role of IT services for MSME industry. Mr. Rajnish elaborated how IT Services can help MSMEs to contribute more in national GDP. Mr. Rajnish emphasized on the need of collaboration of SMEs and IT to make the products more affordable so that more entrepreneurs of this segment could access it with a hope of bright tomorrow.

Mr. Dilip K Sadh, President, Kabeer Consulting Inc. & Visiting Professor, Indiana University of Pennsylvania pointed out the three major pillars - Process, People and Technology of every business globally. He said that out of three, technology is the most important tool to be utilized in taking business ahead. In his presentation Mr. Dilip emphasized on an effective application of SAP & ERP by MSMEs as they help in getting work complete in an economic and proficient manner.

Mr. Chandra Bir Singh, Group IT Head, Alps Industries Ltd. talked about the promotion of SAP. Mr. Singh pointed out that application of ICT can improve managerial decision making, increase employee productivity, reduce employee turnover, wastage of material and supplier cost undoubtedly in MSMEs.

The event was highly informative as it provided the deeper insight to the participants regarding cost effective IT solutions for MSME industry.
