He shared his open research lectures and hadoop map. He said that one has to focus on target data and think beyond for innovation.

Prof. Savita Gupta, UIET discussed teaching learning processes and databases required for research and development.

A session on Introduction to Windows Azure HD Insight Service was conducted by Mr. Prabhjot Singh Bakshi, Microsoft Regional Director. He highlighted Big Data, Azure, Cross Roads, HDinsight: windows azure+hadoop and programming hadoop on Azure.

Mr. Bakshi explained the key trends in clouds such as Social Networks, Device Exploration, Cheap Storage, Inexpensive Computing, Sensor Networks etc. He explained Big Data as three V’s i.e Volume (size), Variety (structure) and Velocity.

DAY 2: 24th May 2016

The session was initiated by Mr. R. N. Prasad - R&D UIET with context and takeaways of digital age, IoT. He discussed about the digitalization of world, changing lifestyle with digital technology and virtualization. He also discussed about the business impact of IT in First, Second and Third Generation in terms of users. He discussed SMAC as social (70%), mobile (72%), analytics (75%) and cloud (92%). He discussed big data in terms of volume having data at rest, velocity having data in motion, variety having data in many forms, veracity having data in doubt and value having data into money.

DAY 3: 25 May 2016

Mr. R. N. Prasad discussed the methodologies and competency. He explained big data analytics trends as self- service (What I want to do, when I want to do, How I want to do etc), challenges of aging IT (skill storage, increasing operation cost etc), Tsunami of data (Social and cloud data sources, ebooks, presentation etc). He explained R and R framework as Regour and Relevance. He stated hands on in context of student as tool user guide as reference, grouping of topics, develop practical scenarios etc. He defined hands on assessment as analyze, evaluate, create, apply, understand, remember etc.

He explained Hadoop requirements per node, i.e. CPU, Memory, Disk, Network etc. He also explained practical implementation of Hadoop by explaining reason of creating big data and need of big data as well as HDFS with suitable examples. He described Heavy Duty Virtualization and Light Duty Virtualization and defined HDFS.

DAY 5: 27 May 2016

Prof. Sanjeev Sofat started the session with privacy issues in Big Data Analytics. He discussed risk on cloud i. e. between cloud server and user. He discussed various issues in Big Data as a Threat Model such as Insecure on ineffective deletion of data, distributed denial of service, risk from changes of jurisdiction, customer isolation failure, management interface compromise, data leakage on upload etc. Dr. Deepak Garg started the last session of the day with Web intelligence as a foundation of life cycle of big data.

DAY 6: 28 May 2016
