Dronacharya College of Engineering, Greater Noida, as evident from its nomenclature, happens to be an Institution which has the special privilege of intertwining tradition with modernity, the time-tested values of life with the contemporary interweaving the threads of the past with those of the present we aim at evolving a fascinating fabric of a fantastic future. At Dronacharya we aim at a multi-dimensional development by matchlessly mingling academics with the co-curricular activities in a most exemplary manner. With this view in mind our annual Academic Calendar assigns due place and space to cultural events and the first in the panoramic array of events is our Freshers' most refreshing Welcome Function significantly named 'ABHINANDAN'. Senior students of the College, under the supervision of the members of the Cultural Committee organize a colourful cultural programme to extend a red carpet welcome to the new Draonacharyans. This enviable event was held on 1st October, 2009 to ceremonially and ritualistically initiate the new aspirants in the Dronacharyan family. The stage was set, the artists met and a memorable programme of dance and music was organized.
