Distinguished Lecture Colloquia was organized by IEEE SSCS Delhi Chapter on 19th December, 2014 at ST Microelectronics, Greater Noida. Professors having many patents and Nobel prizes from all over the world graced the occasion. The lectures provided an insight on devices, circuits, packaging and systems. Ms. Shailika Sharma, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering along with three students Sangam Shakya, Shreya and Inderjeet Singh of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Branch attended the program as delegates from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. |
The program was inaugurated with the speech of Mr. Rakesh Malik, IEEE Head. He briefed about the IEEE SSCS activities carried out in previous years. The next speaker Prof. Madhavan Swaminanthan, George Institute of Technology, Atlanta, explained the device simulation and its various applications in various industries. He also demonstrated their interplay for managing signal, power and thermal integrity. Sanchit Bhatia, Digital Application Specialist, in his lecture focused on the need for power rail signal integrity measurements using the right tools for the right job. |
In the post lunch session Prof. Jingook Kim from UNIST gave an illuminating presentation on the topic “The Novel target impedance methods of Power Distribution Network (PDN) for cost effective design”. He explained the objectives of PDN (Power Distribution Network) Design. Prof. Jose Schutt Aine, University of Illinois, Urbana discussed Inter IC Communication trends and High speed buses. The last speaker Prof. Dries Vande Ginste, Ghent university, Europe, in his talk covered many useful properties of electromagnetic and stochastic modeling of on chip interconnects, passive and active circuits. |
