“NI Technical Symposium Delhi- 2014” was organized by National Instruments on 30th September, 2014 at Hotel -The Park, New Delhi. The objective of the symposium was to give an introduction to LabVIEW. More than 2000 delegates from various fields attended the Symposium. Ms. Shailika Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering along with Mr. Amrender Pratap Tiwari student of ECE 3rd year from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the event.

The Symposium was chaired by Mr. Shree Vardhan, NI Technical Engineer. It was scheduled from 10:00 A.M.to 4:30 P.M. and was divided into two sessions i.e. Technical Track and Academic Track. The event started at 10:00 A.M. with the keynote speech on LabVIEW by Mr. Rajnikanth, NI Technical Engineer. He discussed history of LabVIEW and the competition “NIYANTRA-2014.”

Mr. Ravi Teja, NI Technical Marketing Engineer-India discussed the latest offerings on instruments. Mr. Chinmoy Anand Mishra illustrated what’s new in LabVIEW and LabVIEW-DAQ (Data Acquisition).He discussed the various 5G Researchers using LabVIEW.

Mr. Avichal, Technical Engineer introduced Programmable FPGA. Mr. Shree Vardhan, NI Technical Engineer gave brief review of Virtual Bench, an all-in-one instrument that integrates with our PC or iPad combining an oscilloscope, a function generator, a digital multimeter, a DC power supply, and a digital I/O into a single device.

The second session started at 2:30 P.M. with the speech of Mr. Karun Jain, NI Technical Marketing Engineer. He introduced ‘Do Engineering LabVIEW’ and ‘Teaching Engineering – The Experimental Way’. He said that NI Academic program is running at different colleges in India and all over the world.

The symposium came to an end at 4:30 P.M. with the motivational speech by Mr. Karun Jain.
