DIGNATE 2014 - International Conference on Emerging Trends in Electronics, Electrical and Computing Technologies was held on 18th and 19th October 2014 at India International Center, New Delhi. It is organized by Academy of Industrial Workshops and Training Programs (AIWTP) in collaboration with NCR EduServices Pvt. Ltd. The objective of the conference was to provide a common platform for researchers, professionals, academicians and students to share the advanced knowledge.

 

Mr. Shiv Bhushan and Mr. Sapan Kumar Gupta, Assistant Professors of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in the conference and presented their paper entitled “An Analytical Surface Potential Model of Double - Material - Gate on Strained-Si on Silicon-Germanium MOSFET”. They won the Best Paper Award worth INR 10000 in the conference among 50 participants from across the globe.

 

The inauguration session of conference started at 9.30 AM with lightening of lamps by Guest of Honour Mr. C. K. Rai, Ex GM SBI, Asst. Director AIT, Greater Noida and Mr. Amit Gupta, Director of NCR Edu Services Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Rahul Singh, Organizing Secretary, delivered the welcome speech. Mr. C. K. Rai delivered an engaging lecture on Innovation and Research in India. He highlighted different innovations in the field of Electronics and Electrical. Thereafter Mr. Amit Gupta focused on the available research funds from Govt. of India. He also illustrated the need of Entrepreneurs for research in different domains of engineering. He discussed the future trends for the research methodologies.

 

It was followed by a technical session for image processing. Several participants presented their research results in the conference. Mr. Vikas Gupta, Corporate Relation Head, Country Head, AIWTP New Delhi briefed the objective of AIWTP to promote the researches in India. He also described various social and economic effects of growth of Electronics market.

 

During the post-lunch session, different technical sessions were held covering different subdomains of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Science. The technical sessions in the conference covered Device Simulation, CAD Tools, CMOS devices, Spintronics, MEMS and Power Systems.

 

The session came to an end with Mr. Aditya Pathak, Service Head, Ying Ling Machine, Taiwan announcing the Best Paper and Best Presentation Awards.
