National Seminar on
Evolution of Electronic Integration on 21st August 2010
A National Seminar titled Evolution of Electronic Integration was organized by ECE Deptt. On 21st August, 2010 (Saturday). The objective of the seminar was to provide a forum for faculty and students where various issues concerning emerging trends in Electronic Integration could be thoughtfully discussed.
The seminar was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Sharma, Principal DCE, Greater Noida at 10:00 hrs. In his inaugural address, Chief Guest, Dr. R.N. Sharma exhorted the students to avail such opportunities and participate whole hearted in such professional events. He also stressed its importance towards their overall personality development.
Inaugural session was followed by three technical sessions. In the first technical session, three papers were presented exclusively by final year students of DCE (Gr. Noida). All the papers were well researched and presented in a professional manner. The audience showed their keen interest, during question-answer session, which followed each paper.
During II session, five papers were presented exclusively by students. Student's efforts were self evident from confident manner of presentation. Questions were appropriately answered by the speakers.
During III session a total of six papers were presented exclusively by the students. Papers were very well prepared and presented confidently by students. Question and Answer session was succeeded after each presentation.
Summing up of the seminar was carried-out by HOD-ECE, Mr.Tanuj Chauhan, during which he especially applauded the sincere efforts, put by the students.
Certificates were handed over by the Chief Guest to all the students, who presented the papers. Certificates were also given to those involved in the organization of the seminar.
Ms. Neetika Arora, Asstt. Prof. of ECE Deptt. presented a Vote of Thanks and the seminar was declared closed.
The objective of the seminar was met to a great extent, by whole hearted participation by speakers and smooth conduct of the seminar.

National Seminar on TECHNO Commercial Aspects of Satellite Communication
Seminar on TECHNO was held at DCE’s Greater Noida Campus. Wg. Cdr. G. S. Bakshi (Head: India Operations, AAE Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. Noida) was the Chief Guest and Key note Speaker on this occasion. The event of paramount significance was organized under the prestigious patronage of Dr. Satish Yadav, Chairmanship of Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Sharma, Principal, Vice Chairmanship of Prof. (Dr.) S. K.Yadav, Dean Academics and Convenership of Prof. (Wg. Cdr.) I. J. Bhandola (HOD ECE Department).
Satellite Communication has become an indispensable part of our day-to-day life. What we are enjoying in the comfort of our homes has been made possible, because of satellite communication. Satellite Radio like World Space, Weather Forecasts, Cable TV, DTH (Direct to Home) TV, Internet, Mobile Telephony, Automatic Navigation of vehicles with GPS have been possible because of this unique system. With Google Map, we can access map of any locality in any town, in any country on the globe. Besides this, with GPS System, a car-rental company can monitor precise position. In addition to the above, very small Aperture Terminal Systems and financial transactions can be undertaken, on a real-time basis. Large business organizations can centrally monitor sale data on real-time basis to efficiently run the organization. An understanding of basic functioning of communication satellite and some of the applications like GPS system, Communication system, Forecasting will be Direct Broadcast System (DBS) for TV, with immense help in understanding these systems and exploiting full potential of these applications.
Finding out solutions in day to day problems of these uses will go a long way in improving the quality of our life. It is hoped that this object has fulfilled to a reasonable extent by this enviable academic event. Thus this Seminar has served a multifarious purpose and proved a great, inter-active event for participants from amongst the Faculties within the Campus and those who represented other esteemed organizations.
