Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi conducted a Workshop on Virtual Labs at Bharti School of Telecom, IIT Delhi. The objective of the workshop was to discuss  the phases , impact  of the Vlab on the Learners Community and welcomed the suggestion for improvement in Vlabs from the delegates came from various Institutes. Mr. Pradeep Singla and Dr. Sarika Agarwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering were delegated for the workshop.

The workshop commenced with the registration of delegates. Prof. Ranjan Bose, Virtual Lab Coordinator, IITD, welcomed all the participant and started the session with a brief overview of National impact of VLAB on students and teachers. He also discussed the number of faculties and students trained for these labs and daily usage of Virtual lab.

Further, he explained the impact of Vlabs in minimizing the gap areas between the typical syllabi of Technical Universities and existing Labs and discussed the working of VLAB .

He emphasized on using open source software like SCILAB instead of MATLAB. He discussed the methodology of Outreach Programme for popularizing the Vlabs. He said that creation of Nodal Centers and conducting the workshop to train faculty and students for the VLAB is the desired solution. He explained the role and responsibilities of Nodal Center and Nodal Center Coordinator.
