FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Indovision, Partner of Huawei, conducted a one day Faculty Development Program on “Cloud Computing” at Huawei Telecommunication Private Ltd, Unitech Cyber Park, Gurgaon on 7th August 2015. The objective of the workshop was to create an awareness about the different technologies used in Cloud Computing.

Dr. Sarika Agarwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mr. Manoj Kr. Yadav, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer & Science Engineering, & Ms. Priyanka Yadav, Assistant Professor, Department of Information & Technology, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the program.

The program commenced with the registration process of delegates from various colleges. The first session started with an inaugural programme. The program was addressed by Mr. Vinay, Director, Indovision. He discussed different fields used in ICT like Wireless Telecom, Data Communication, Cloud Computing, Transmission, and Networking.

Mr. Bharat Bagai, Technical Lead, IBM, started the training program with an introduction of Cloud Computing. He said that cloud is a server providing services anytime, anywhere. It is placed remotely and the users need to pay for the service per use. The session continued with the discussion on various features of Cloud Computing. He also talked about Virtualization which could be full/partial.

Mr. Hanuman, Trainer, Indovision delivered a lecture on Storage Technology. He discussed about different types of Storage Technology like RAID and demonstrated various websites which provide cloud services. The participants were taken to the lab where various storage devices and server were demonstrated.

During valedictory session, Mr. Vinay, Director, Indovision congratulated the participants and team members for their successful effort in conducting the Program. He also sought feedback from the participants regarding the program. Further, all the participants were given the certificates for completing FDP which was highly educative and interactive for the participants.
