GOOD GOVERNANCE DAY

NSS Wing of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, celebrated Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ( Hon’ble Former Prime Minster of India) birthday as Good Governance Day (Technology and Innovation) announced by Government of India on 24th December, 2014. Prof. B. L Kaul, Registrar, DGI, all the HODs, Staff and students assembled in the seminar hall to celebrate it at 10:30 AM.

NSS Volunteer, Prashant Tripathi started the program with a brief introduction of the cause. Prof. TPN Singh, Department of Research & Development highlighted many innovative works accomplished by Shree. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said that Shree. Vajpayee is not an Engineer but a Social Scientist. Dr. Anupam and Prof. Divyanshu Sinha recalled Shree Vajpayee’s thoughts through their poems ‘Darrar Padh Gayi Hai’ and ‘Kya Khoya Kya Paya’. Prof. D.V. Bhise illustrated different policies, plans and initiatives taken by Shree. Vajpayee. Mr. Sapan Kumar Gupta and Ms. Shailika Sharma highlighted different memorable achievements of Shree Vajpayee’s in his tenure such as Pokharan II, Operation Vijay, Lahore Summit, National Highway plan and many more. On this occasion, a quiz program was also organized on the life and achievements of Shree Vajpayee.

The program came to close with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. S.K. Srivastava.
