GOOGLE STUDENT CLUB

A one day Android App Development Workshop was organized by Google Student Club, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 27th February, 2015. The workshop was attended by the 2nd & 3rd Year students of Computer Science and Information Technology.

The objective of this workshop was to make the students familiar with the concepts of Android App Development. The highlight of the event was a hands on session on Android which helped the students to familiarize themselves to working on this most widely sought after platform in the mobile industry today. It also emphasized on the tips and tricks to build apps and publish them on Play store.

The Expert Speak for the session was delivered by Mr. Vibhor Gupta, Director & Founder Weekender. He is the founder, architect and developer at Mobiquel and the Founder and Business head at Lituminati and an expert in the field of UX, Android and Mobile backend.

The inaugural session was graced by the presence of Dr. S.K. Bagga- Director, DGI , Prof. B.L. Kaul - Registrar, DGI, Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Administrator Academics, DGI, Prof. TPN Singh- Advisor R&D, DGI and Prof. Divyanshu Sinha, HODCSE, DGI and faculty members of Computer Science & Information Technology departments respectively.

Mr. Vibhor Gupta focused on the basics of designing and application and the connection between the outer interface and the functionality. He also discussed the importance of Android and the job opportunities linked to it.

The workshop came to an end with a doubt clearing session followed by distribution of mementoes to the guest speakers, workshop coordinators and the participants.
