A Distinguished Lecture Colloquia was organized by IEEE SSCS Delhi Chapter on 19th December, 2014 at ST Microelectronics, Greater Noida. Ms. Bhanu Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering along with three students Sangam Shakya, Shreya and Inderjeet Singh of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Branch from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the event as delegates. |

The event aimed to discuss various themes such as technology direction; novel devices, memories and radio technology; high-speed and precision data converters; wireline and on-chip communication; etc. |
|
The program was inaugurated by Mr. Rakesh Malik, IEEE Head, Delhi Chapter. In his inaugural speech Mr. Malik highlighted the IEEE SSCS activities carried out in previous years. |

The second speaker Prof. Madhavan Swaminanthan, George Institute of Technology Atlanta, explained device simulation and its various applications in industry. Prof. Madhavan presented an overview in the field of miniaturization by discussing the topic, Devices, Circuits, Packaging and Systems. |
|
Mr. Sanchit Bhatia, Digital Applications Specialist, Keysight Technologies presented his view on the topic “Power Rail Signal Integrity Measurements with Oscilloscopes”. He discussed the latest technology demand in current industrial scenario.

In the post lunch session Prof. Jingook Kim, Assistant Professor, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), focused on the novel target impedance methods of Power Distribution Network (PDN) for cost effective design. He also explained the objective of PDN (Power Distribution Network) Design. |
|
Prof. Jose Schutt Aine, University of Illinois, Urbana presented his ideas on “Modeling and design of High-Speed Links”. He continued the discussion with the brief introduction of Inter IC Communication trends and High speed buses. |
|
Prof. Dries Vande GInste, Associate Professor, Ghent University, Gent. spoke on “Electromagnetic and Stochastic Modelling of On-Chip Interconnections of Passive and Active Circuits”. His presentation covered concepts like corner effect, electric field simulation method, electromagnetic compatibility, signal and power integrity, computational electromagnetics. |

The event ended with a group activity based on the topics discussed in all the lectures. The event was highly informative and it made the participants aware with the new developments and researches in the field of technology. |
