International Youth Exchange Programme

 

Visit of Bangladesh Youth Delegation

 

7th October 2015

   

A Visit of Bangladeshi Youth to Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida under International Youth Exchange Programme, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India was organized on 7th October, 2015. It was a group of hundred students from technical and non-technical background belonging to various universities of Bangladesh. The objective of the programme was to exchange ideas and share their culture and values among the youth belonging to the two nations. The Programme also aimed at establishing a bond of understanding and successful execution of activities under NSS at large.

 

The program began at 9:00 am in the Seminar Hall, DGI, Greater Noida. The Director, Prof. S.K. Bagga, DGI, Gr. Noida presented a Greeting Card to Mr. Arjun Dev (Attache, Indian High Commission, Dhaka), Mr.K. Mahalingam, District Youth Coordinator and Protocol Officer, India and Mr. S.L.Meena, Deputy Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, India.

 

The students from 2nd year Aditi Biswas and Prashant Tripathi hosted the programme. Prof S.K. Bagga welcomed the delegates with his motivational words. Prof T.P.N Singh, Advisor (R&D) gave an overview of DGI, Gr. Noida and various activities related to academic excellence and Knowledge Partners.

 

The students Rajan Shah (Civil 3rd year) and Pankaj (Mechanical 4th year) narrated the successful journey of DGI NSS Wing. In this program Mr. Tazvir Ahmid (Student Coordinator) from Bangladesh delivered a speech on behalf of all the Bangladeshi delegates.

 

Prof. S. K. Srivastava, NSS Program Officer concluded the introductory session with a vote of thank. Delegates were then taken for a visit to various labs and library of DGI, Greater Noida.

 

The next session began with a friendly match in various games like Snooker and Table Tennis was organised between Bangladeshi delegates and DGI students. Mr. Anuj Aggarwal, Chairman CSI, Noida Chapter also interacted with the Bangladeshi youth and discussed the roles and responsibilities that Computer Society of India is playing to enhance and upgrade the technical knowhow of the Indian youth in the field of Computer Science and IT Infrastructure .

 

This visit successfully shared the cultural - values and ideas of the delegates and DGI students. It established a socio-cultural relationship between two nations.
