Awareness Session on Kidney

Dronacharya Group of Institutions Greater Noida in association with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Dr. Reddy’s Foundation for Health Education organized a Health Awareness Session on Kidney in the college campus under the banner of DGI SMILE Club. The event aimed at growing awareness and educating the staff members about kidney related issues.

Dr. Varun Verma, a Consultant Nephrologist, Fortis Hospital, Noida conducted the session. The event began with the floral welcome of Dr. Verma by Prof. B.L. Kaul, Registrar DGI, Greater Noida. Dr. Verma began his session by providing comprehensive information regarding Kidney. He pointed out the role of kidney in human body and discussed the kidney related diseases. He emphasized on the fact that kidney diseases are like silent killers which largely effect the functioning of human body. It can develop at any stage but it becomes more common with increasing age. He also discussed the golden rules to encourage prevent kidney diseases from occurring.

During the interactive session, Dr. Varun Verma attended to the queries of the staff members. Prof. B. . Kaul presented a memento to Dr. Verma for his valuable contribution.
