A Workshop on Entrepreneurship Development was organized by National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida from 18th - 20th December, 2014 at their campus. The workshop was designed exclusively for faculty and was attended by over 50 delegates from across the country. Mr. Anurag Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering attended the workshop as a delegate from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. |

The key speakers of the event included Mr. Anurag Mittal, Guest Faculty - NIESBUD, Mr. Kumar Manu, Manager - SBI, Mr. Vivek Prakash, General Manager - CSR Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and Prof. Jayaseelan Ganesan, NSIC- Ex-Executive Director, presently working in IIT Kanpur. |

The program commenced with introduction of the guest speakers to audience by Dr. D.K Singh, Senior Consultant, NIESBUD and presentation of bouquet to the guest speakers by programme co-coordinator. |

Mr. Anurag Mittal delivered the keynote address on Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP).During his address he shared with the audience that simply amazed by the quality and scale of startup companies being launched in India in the last few years, top Silicon Valley experts have said that next decade is going to be "golden era" of Indian entrepreneurship. "Culmination of cloud, internet bandwidth, big data and mobility, I think has spawned the golden age for India," he asserted. |

Mr. Kumar Manu presented the possibility and modalities of receiving funding from various government agencies for entrepreneurial ventures. He informed the audience that the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India runs a very interesting programme aimed at technology entrepreneurs called PRISM. Via PRISM's Technopreneur Promotion Programme (TePP), DSIR offers grants for individual innovators and budding entrepreneurs to demonstrate proof of concept and/or prototypes of novel ideas. |

Mr. Vivek Prakash delivered an interesting lecture on Self Help Growth (SHG) and unfolding SGH stages. He deliberated on the changing conditions of teaching and learning, the development of new skills, tools, and literacies needed for effective teaching and learning. He also shared his thoughts on business sensing opportunity interface with various government / non-government organizations and jubilant CSR initiatives, muskaan project, swasthya prahari with real life examples to escalating employability skills. |

Prof. Jayaseelan Ganesan from IIT Kanpur, a renowned orator elaborated Entrepreneurship with the help of case study which was interesting and enjoyable. The rich content delivery related with ground realities of life made the audience spell bound. He shared multi domain knowledge related to successful Entrepreneurship ventures that included personality dimension, cognitive psychology, human resource management, mindset, thought process, innovation, creativity, and soft skills. His session was lively and interactive. The participants took keen interest in the proceedings for complete duration of the workshop and discussed their queries in valedictory session. |

The participants were awarded certificate of participation by Dr. D.K Singh, Senior Consultant, NIESBUD at the end of the program. The workshop proved to be very beneficial to the faculty members and enriched their knowledge with practical aspects of Entrepreneurship. |
