ORIENTATION PROGRAM 2014

An Orientation Program for the students admitted to various Undergraduate and Post Graduate programs was organized on  August 19th, 2014 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. A sense of excitement mixed with anxiety could be read all over the faces of the fresher students joining the first day of their professional studies. The orientation program was conceptualized keeping in mind the most common concerns of the new students and to introduce them to the new academic environment.

The program commenced with offering of prayers to Lord Ganesha for the auspicious beginning of the courses and to Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning. Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Murali, Director, DGI, Gr. Noida delivered the welcome address. In his address, Dr. Murali introduced the students to the Dronacharya Group as a big family and congratulated them to have become a part of the fraternity. He motivated the students to dream big, excel in every area of professional life and ensured full support on the behalf of the entire academic team to the students in the pursuit of their dreams.    

Prof. B.L. Kaul, Registrar, DGI introduced the students to the availability of various infrastructural facilities in the college. He also informed the students about the basic disciplinary rules and regulations, transport facilities including bus routes, identity cards, and official procedures. He encouraged the students to study hard, and wished them luck for the professional life.

Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Academic Administrator, DGI shared the academic vision of the Dronacharya Group of Institutions with the freshers. In his informative address, he introduced the students to the endless list of academic opportunities available at the institute. He listed the academic program collaborations with Global MNCs leading to various certifications, professional body memberships and the various student chapters established by the institute as a part of its commitment to the professional growth of its students. Prof. Ashwani also introduced the students to the scheme of syllabus of DGI, Grater Noida, and the criteria for academic evaluation of the students.

The students were also addressed by Dr. Abhishek Swami, Head of Department, Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities who welcomed all students in his address and introduced the students to the team of APS department. Dr. Swami informed the students about the achievements of the department and urged them to shine both academically and in extracurricular activities.

The program ended with the oath taken by students that they will perform well in the examination and give their hundred percent to study and will add to the glory of the Dronacharya Group of Institutions while achieving personal and professional milestones in the service of the nation.
