QUEST INGENIUM 2016

A National Level Project Competition “INGENIUM 2016” was organized by Quest Global Engineering Services on 19th September 2016 at Bengaluru. Quest has over 20 years’ experience of engineering services in domains like Aerospace, Power, Medicine, Oil and Gas. Industries like Airbus, Siemens, Aequs and Qatar Airways are among its key Associates.

 

DGI team consisting of Ashwani Kumar Rathore, Ajay Singh, Ashu Talwar and Ashutosh Vishwakarma from B.Tech (ME) designed and developed the project titled “Advanced Agro - Robot”. The project was selected among top 10 out of 8069 projects submitted by over 903 colleges across the country. All 10 project teams were invited to Bengaluru for the final round of the competition. Students along with faculty member Mr. Gaurav Siwal, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department presented their project during the event.

 

Following jury members graced the event:-
1. Mr. Pradeep Kumar - Engineering Manager, Rolls - Royce India Pvt. Ltd.
2. Mr. Zachariah John - Senior Director, Honeywell Technology Solutions.
3. Ms. Sasirekha - GE Power India.
4. Mr. C. V. Venugopalan - Consultant in Aeronautics, QUEST Global Engineering Solutions.

 

Mr. Anand Madangopal - Founder and CEO, Cardiac Design Labs was the Chief Guest and Mr. John O Larry - Vice President of Engineering, Airbus Americas Engineering Inc. was the Keynote Speaker. Mr. Anand shared his journey of becoming a successful entrepreneur. He encouraged young engineers with innovative ideas and the impact they could make on society. Mr. John shared his experience in industries and motivated students to pursue career in the area of their interest. He also discussed the business potential in a developing country like India.

 

After the plenary session, projectees made their presentations. Jury members appreciated “Advanced Agro-Robot” suggested the valuable modifications. After the presentations were over, result was announced.

 

The event came to an end with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Ajay Prabhu, Chief Operating Officer, Quest Global Engineering Solutions.
