National Level Technical Project Competition ‘SRISHTI 2015’

 

13th -14th February, 2015

 

Kottayam, Kerela

   

A National Level Technical Project Competition “Srishti- 2015” was organized by SAINTGITS College of Engineering, Kottayam in association with Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC) during 13th -14th February 2015. The aim of the event was to initiate interest in entrepreneurial activities and encouraging young innovators to register for patents. Students of Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya Group of Institute Mr. Deepak , Mr. Jithin Lal and Mr. Adarsh Nair, display their project Modified Double Cylinder Hand Pump in the exhibition. This project was one among 96 projects which was selected from all over the country for participation and display in exhibition at Srishti 2015.

 

Srishti 2015 presented an opportunity to all talented students to showcase their innovative projects. This project exhibition was the ideal platform for industries and national organizations to feel the talent of the students’ and empower the students in the field of innovation and technology.

 

Day I : 13-2-2015
The event started with a warm welcome of all the participants and guests by Mr. Thomas T. John, Director, SAINTGITS and lighting of lamp by Sh. Kochouseph Chittilappilly, the Founder and Chairman of V-Guard Industries Ltd. The panel of 15 judges from industries and academics evaluated students’ projects. At the end of first day, Er. Pradeep , Chief coordinator of Srishti-2015, rendered vote of thanks to judges.

 

Day II: 14-2-15
On the second day of the event Sh. Sameer Abdul Azeez, Scientist, NPOL, Kochhi, delivered a lecture on “Idea & Implementation”. An inspirational talk was delivered by Mr. Anbuselvan T., Service Manager, Wipro GE Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Chennai, on “Emerging Trends in Health, Healthcare and Role of YOU”. It was followed by a healthy discussion among students and judges. Based on this discussion, best Innovative project was selected branch wise. The event came to an end with the announcement of results of Srishti 2015 by Er. Punnoose George, the Executive Chairman and Secretary. Best innovation project award was won by students of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirapally, Kerala. They made a model for converting plastic to fuel.
