Computational Analysis and Pattern Recognition, as evident from the nomenclature itself happens to be a significant, substantive and uniquely useful aspect of Computer Science and Engineering. The primary objective of the seminar was to provide a forum where issues of vital importance could be given thoughtful and scholarly consideration. Computational Analysis is the development and implementation of tools that enable efficient access to, and use and management of various types of information and the development of new algorithms and statistics with which to assess relationships among members of large data sets, such as methods to locate an event within a sequence, predict structure and/or function, and sequences into families of related sequences. |
