WORKSHOP

IEEE Student Branch, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in association with Inspire InfoTech organized a workshop on Android and iOS on 30th September, 2016 with an objective to create awareness and its importance amongst students. The key speaker of workshop was Mr. Nikhil Dhyani, Assistant Manager, Reddinton, Noida and Mr. Jaydeep Gaur, Software Engineer, Inspire Infotech Noida. 90 students of B.Tech 2nd and 3rd Year attended the workshop.

The event began with the floral welcome of Mr. Dhyani and Mr. Gaur by Prof. S.K. Bagga, Director, DGI, Greater Noida,. During the welcome address Prof. Dr. S.K. Bagga, said that Android and iOS application development would be of great use for students from all fields. He also focused on advantages of Android and iOS.

Mr. Dhayani started the workshop with the history of android, its advantages and disadvantages. He explained the benefits and changes it would bring to day-to-day activities and how it can benefit them irrespective of their branch.

Mr. Gaur discussed the importance, usefulness and impact of apps in today’s digital world. He updated the audience about the types of validation, basic hardware and software requirements for android development. He provided insights into XML file configure components and XML theme and explained app architecture, app components, app manifest and app resources. Students were taken for a lab session to experiment with their coding skills on Android Studio.

The workshop concluded with distribution of Participation Certificates to students by Honorable Director, Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bagga.
