AMCAT MAY 2013

Starting to prepare the pre final year students for the upcoming placements,with this view, Aspiring Minds Computer Adaptability Test (AMCAT) was held on 14th May 2013 for 2014 batch in which 211 students from CSE, IT, ECE and ME participated. AMCAT is India’s largest Employability Test that provides detailed feedback with graphical representation to the students. Using the report helps the students to understand their weaknesses & strengths from employability point of view.

AMCAT is multi-dimensional test that assesses the students on the basis of following modules:

1. Aptitude Module: English, Quantitative& Logical Ability

2. Personality Module

3. Skill Specific Modules (IT infra, Comp. Programming, Semi-conductors, Financial Services etc.)

Preparatory session based on Aptitude, Quantitative and Verbal Ability was conducted by the department, in which the syllabus of AMCAT and previous Question Papers were discussed with the students to make them well aware of the exam pattern.

This test is conducted with a view to increase the placement opportunities for the pre final year students. The test has got multiple modules with maximum marks of 800. As per the industry norms the marks above 550 are considered good. All the students who did score well in the previous assessments tried their best to increase their scores, thus maximizing opportunities for themselves.
