Planet EDU, a Global Educational Services, organised a conference programme on “Winning the Future with Innovative Education” at Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park, New Delhi on 8th February, 2014. Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida faculties Dr. Anupam Kumar and Mr. Rahman attended the conference. |

The event started with the welcome speech by Mr. D. C. Pant, Former Pro-Vice Chancellor, IGNOU and introductory remarks by Prof. M. M. Pant, Chairperson, 6th EDUConvEx. There were three eminent speakers with electrifying educational ideas. |

Prof. Madhulika Kaushik, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Designate, Wawasan Open University, Penang, Malaysia focused on the “Developing Entrepreneurship while at School”. Prof. Santosh Panda, Chairperson, National Council for Teacher Education in his thought-provoking talk “Winning the Future with Innovative Teacher Education” discussed the need of shaping better teachers which would lead to make better students .The last speaker of the first session was Mr. Kamlesh Vyas, Associate Director, Ernst & Young, who gave an idea “What will it take for India to be the World’s next Education Hub? ” |

The second session was chaired by Ms. Angela French, Director of Operations - South and South East Asia, Cambridge English Language Assessment. Mr. Amol Arora, Director, Shemrock & Shemford Group of Schools, New Delhi, stressed on “Winning the Future with Innovative Education”. He discussed some practical aspects of primary education. |

Mr. Yogesh Gambhir, Principal, DRV DAV Centenary Public school, Phillaur, presented his views on the use of technology in the classrooms, in his speech “Integrating Tablets, Smartphones and Handheld Devices in the Classroom”. Ms. Punam Kashap, Director, GEMS International School who stressed on developing employability skills of the senior students in his speech “Skills and Competencies for Future Success”. The last speaker of the second session was Ms. Rashmi Vij, Principal, Police DAV Public school, Jalandhar. She discussed in short the modern assessment techniques in her paper “Innivations in Assessments”. |

Mr. Utkarsh Lokesh, Co-Founder, CEO, EdTechReview, explored the teaching pedagogy in his discourse “Learning, Teaching & Leading in the 21st Century”. Ms. Shefali Juneja, Academic Head, Bal Bharti Public School, Bhiwadi, conveyed her message on teaching grammar in a sing-song way through her presentation on “Audio Memory Aids”. Mr. Manoj Pant, CEO, Shankh Inc. USA, Former VP, Orange & MG. Director, Roamware Inc. USA, amused the audience with his demo of electronic devices and his influencing talk on “Education without Boundaries”. The last speaker- duo Mr. Gaurav Loyalka and, Mr. Avikshit Saras, Partners: I Print My Toys-3D Prototyping, introduced the present and future of 3D printing in their presentation “3D Prototyping- Essence of Innovative Education”. |
