DIWALI CELEBRATION

Diwali, the festival of lights and joy was celebrated with full gaiety by DGI SMILE Club with the inmates of Vishwas, at Vishwas Rehabilitation Centre on 17th October, 2014. The objective of the visit was to share the festive moments of light with the inmates of Vishwas and to develop the spirit of celebration among them.

The inmates of Vishwas got delighted with the idea to celebrate the festival of light with the SMILE Club volunteers. The celebration began with Antakshari in which all the inmates participated with full enthusiasm. The inmates of Vishwas enjoyed singing their favourite songs.

Sweets were distributed amongst the members. It brought beautiful Smile on their faces. It also developed the feelings of love and affection between the SMILE volunteers and Vishwas inmates.

It was a joyous experience for all the volunteers. Celebrating Diwali was like a therapy for the recovery of the inmates and gave them a reason to rejoice with the students.

With the spirit of celebration and love the volunteers of SMILE Club were successful in bringing light of hope in the lives of inmates of Vishwas.
