EARTH HOUR 2014

Earth Hour 2014 was celebrated on March 29th, 2014 by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida – ECO Club. Earth Hour is a worldwide grass-roots movement for the planet supported by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Earth Hour engages a massive mainstream community on a broad range of environmental issues.

On Earth Hour electricity was turned off for an hour during 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM as a symbolic act against climate change. Honorable Prof. (Dr.) M.S. Murali, Director, DGI, Greater Noida and Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Academic Administrator, DGI, Greater Noida ignited the candle and inspired the students and faculty member to light candle by taking pledge of environmental conservation.

Earth Hour was celebrated by DGI, Greater Noida student and staff members to create spirit and enthusiasm to save the environment for future generations.
