ELECTRONICA INDIA

B.Tech ECE and EEE students went for a visit to Electronica India 2013 and Productronica India 2013 held at Pragatimaidan, New Delhi on 4th and 5th Sept 2013. The expo was an innovative platform for production technologies which are experiencing a strong increase in demand due to India’s emerging electronics manufacturing market.

Ms. Pragati Khandelwal and Mr. Sapan Kumar Gupta escorted the students for the trip. The objective of the visit was to enhance the knowledge of these budding technocrats regarding components, assemblies and production, display technologies, solar and photovoltaic, VLSI, MEMS, Sensors etc. Major industries/companies participating in this electronics showcase were ST Micro-electronics, Cadence Design Systems, Precision Electronics, Zabit Technologies, Mentor Graphics, etc.

Different showcase in electronic Asia were Broadcom Chip (provides Bluetooth connectivity), Camera Module, Card Reader Module, Chipset, Connector, Metal case, RAM, RF Transistor, Sensor, Three axis accelerometer, Flash Memory, Touch Panel. These different devices deals with different domains such as Assemblies and subsystems, cables, EDA tools, Embedded Systems, Semiconductors, Manufacturing equipment and logistics, MEMS, Motors/Drives, Microwave Technology, PCBs and other circuit carrier, switches and keyboards.
