ENTREPRENEUR MEET

An interaction session on Entrepreneurship was organized on 8th Jan 2014 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Mr. Dinesh Batra (Vice President, Moser Baer), Mr. Abhimanue Bhagat (Entrepreneur) and Mr. Dhruv Varma (Entrepreneur) were the resource persons for the event.

The session was attended by Dr. M. S. Murli, Director, Prof. B. L. Kaul, Registrar, Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Administrator (Academics) along with the HODs & Students from 2nd & 3rd year from ME, ECE, CSE and IT. Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R &D) was convener of the program.

Mr. Dinesh Batra gave a brief outline about the importance of skill sets to be developed along with the curricula. He was concerned with the employability scenario and spoke on employable youth as required by the companies. He referred to Technoblast - 2013 wherein he was one of the judges and wished the worthwhile projects could be translated to real time platform in terms of marketability and social usage.

Mr. Abhimanyu addressed the students and narrated his success story which was beset with problems and failures. He motivated the students by stating that he never took defeat as an end but a bend in the learning curve. He spoke on his patents, his projects and teaching assignments. He, however cautioned the students to do adequate planning and co-ordination before undertaking any venture.

Mr. Dhruv Varma gave a brief on his DV-ATE Systems for commercialization of his projects. He compared the difference in mindset of US and India wherein in US skill sets are of paramount importance and in India, it is the curricula. However, there should be reasonable balance between the two.

The event concluded with the valuable words of Dr. M. S. Murli, Director Dronacharya Group of Institutions. He motivated the students to be creative along with good performance in academics. He asked the students to draw inspiration from the young entrepreneurs and be successful in later life.

Mementoes along with DGI International Journal, Diary, Calendar etc. were presented to the team as a token of appreciation and thankfulness. The vote of thanks was rendered by Prof. TPN Singh.
