ESDM

A one day workshop on ESDM- “Electronic System Design & Manufacturing” was organized by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in association with Computer Society of India and Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & IT, Govt. of India on April 6th, 2013. A total of 90 Students from diverse technical backgrounds such as Electronics, Computer Science & Information Technology actively participated in the workshop.

The objective of the workshops was to make academia and students aware of this sunrise sector, its importance for economic growth of our country, and to attract talent to the sector for meeting its intellectual and human resource requirements.

The workshop witnessed truly ingenious speakers, Mr. Dheeraj Kapoor, Director Sahasra Sambhav Electronics and Mr. Somen Chakraborty, Sahasra Sambhav Electronics who conducted an informative session followed by a field visit of the students to the production house of Sahasra Sambhav Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Noida.

The welcome address and the theme of the workshop was delivered by Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, Associate Professor Electronics & Communication Department. Mr. Dheeraj Kapoor addressed the gathering by highlighting opportunities and policy initiatives in Electronics System Design and Manufacturing Sector. The basics of electronic systems and technology and their usage in real life were also discussed. Mr. Dheeraj also emphasized on leading manufacturers and design organizations related to the field and gave various examples and advantages of self-employment and entrepreneurship.
