Inspiring Faith: The Story of Vishwas a documentary on rehabilitation of mental illness in a half way home was screened at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 12th October, 2014. The documentary was sponsored by Richmond Fellowship Society and conceptualized by Dr. Avdesh Sharma and Dr. Sujata Sharma. |

It aimed to sensitize the viewers regarding mental health issues and to create a favourable environment for the people suffering from Schizophrenia, a kind of mental illness and allied disorders. |

Dr. Shilpi Saxena, Coordinator, DGI SMILE Club along with faculty Ms. Shivani Arora and the volunteers of SMILE Club attended the event as delegates. The documentary exhibited the involvement and efforts of DGI SMILE Club members for bringing SMILE in the lives of Vishwas inmates. |

Inspiring Faith: The Story of Vishwas was a documentary based on inmates of Vishwas a rehabilitation centre for differently able people at Greater Noida. The documentary was a humble attempt to explore the hidden feelings, emotions and dreams of Vishwas inmates to mingle with the charm of life and the most important it showed their strength and hope to believe that they can also cherish their dreams. |

In the documentary the will power and challenging attitude of Vishwas inmates was depicted in their efforts to fight back with the odds of life. In Vishwas a learning and pleasant environment is created with the help of yoga, meditation session, music, indoor and outdoor games and computer and English classes. |

In the Gulmohar Hall there was an exhibition of paintings and other creative items made by Vishwas inmates. The exhibition attracted the attention of all the visitors. |

The documentary was followed by the Canvas Skew Series 4th by Dr. Alok Sarin in collaboration with Sitaram Bharti Institute of Science and Research. Canvas Skew was an interactive session based on the concepts, confusions and controversies with prominent mental health professionals. |

The panellists of the session were Mr. Prakash Jacob, Former user of Vishwas facility, Mr. Pankaj Pachauri,Family Care Giver and Media personality, Dr. S Kalyanasundaram,Psychiatrist and CEO of Richmond Fellowship Society, Bangalore, Dr. Kiran Rao,Mental Health consultant and President, Sampark Banglore and Dr. Sarin,Psychiatrist and President Richmond Fellowship Society, Delhi. |

The series was sponsored by an Educational Grant by Sun Pharmceuicals as well as public philanthropy and conceptualized by Dr. Sarin. |

It was an organized effort and optimistic step to create awareness on such a sensitive issue and to give voice to the unheard and innocent feelings of Vishwas inmates. |

The documentary was also screened at the seminar hall of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 13th October, 2014 in presence of Prof. M.S. Murali, Director, DGI, Prof. B.L. Kaul, Registrar, DGI, Head of the Departments, faculty members and the students. |

The documentary touched the heart of everyone and made them aware with the various aspects of mental disorder. The efforts of Richmond Fellowship Society and DGI SMILE Club was appreciated by all the staff members of DGI Greater Noida. |
