HOLI CELEBRATION

Holi - the festival of colors, joy, enthusiasm and love was celebrated with full gaiety by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida SMILE Club with the inmates of Vishwas, a rehabilitation center on 14th March, 2014. The objective of the visit was to share the lively and festive moments of colors with the inmates of Vishwas.

The volunteers of SMILE Club dressed in festive look reached Vishwas Centre at 12:15 PM. The inmates of Vishwas got delighted with the idea to celebrate the festival of colors with the volunteers.

The celebration began with Antakshari that was enjoyed by the inmates. A group dance ‘Holiya me ude re gulal’ by SMILE Club volunteers added more colors to the celebration. After the performance the volunteers of SMILE Club played Holi with the members and smeared Gulal on one another face. Everyone was covered in a multi - coloured haze. ‘Gujiya’ the traditional sweets of Holi were also distributed by SMILE Club.

Colors of all hues, the fragrance of ‘Gulal’, the flavor of ‘Gujiya’ and the smiling faces of Vishwas members filled the entire atmosphere of Vishwas with the true spirit of Holi Celebration. It seemed there was a rainbow over it in the sunshine.

It was really a joyous experience for all the volunteers. The challenging spirit of the inmates of Vishwas who find endless ways to be happy was a source of inspiration for the students.

With the spirit of integrity and love the volunteers of SMILE Club were successful in bringing Smile and colors in the lives of inmates of Vishwas.
