IEEE Student Branch of DGI organized a workshop on "Problem Solving and Solution Optimization in IT" in association with NIIT Technologies Ltd. on 12th February 2014. It was inaugurated by Mr. Mahesh Chandra (Customer Choice Awardee 2013,Young Achiever Awardee 2013 NIIT Technologies Ltd.).

Prof. M.S. Murali, Director DGI, welcomed Mr. Chandra and hoped that at the end of the session, students will have a lot to take away for their professional growth.

54 Students of DGI attended the workshop enthusiastically. The objective of the workshop was to focus on improving students’ ability to solve technical problems which they face in interviews particularly in first couple of years.

In his speech, Mr. Chandra said that some of the students face problems in reading questions. This is because they never had that attitude which is a must to approach a problem and solve it in an optimized way. Sometimes few of them start solving the problem, spend a lot of time on it and finally they give up. This is because they don’t know how to approach a problem particularly when they need to solve it in most optimized way. These qualities are valid in industry as well where one has to perform and deliver excellency to keep growing.
