The Celebration at DGI reflected the festivals’ celebrations of exuberance. The event was marked by a range of traditional exciting activities such as lighting the ritualistic bonfire during the evening, dancing on the beats of the dhol, traditional handmade dishes, singing of popular folklore around the bonfire and enjoying a sumptuous feast. Dr. M. S. Murali, Director DGI led the festivities and wished the students and staff on the occasion. The students and the staff members exchanged Lohri wishes to spread and celebrated the spirit of festivity. The event was not restricted to celebration only but also implied a wonderful time for the members of the DGI fraternity to rejoice and rejuvenate themselves from their chore and unite to share some fun and relive the cultural values. |
