DGI Literary Clubcelebrated National Education Day, the birth anniversary ofMaulana Abul Kalam Azad on November 11th, 2014.
The program started with the lighting of lamp in the midst of chanting of Saraswati Vandana. All the dignitaries paid floral tribute toMaulana Abul Kalam Azad. The honorable Director, Prof. M. S. Murli addressed the audience with inspiring words about education. He counted the deeds of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India.
Prof. B.L. Kaul, Registrar, DGI, Greater Noida motivated the students saying ‘Each one teach one’. He also said that today is an occasion when all of us should re-dedicate ourselves to the cause of education and make India a modern knowledge haven.
Students staged a One Act Play entitled ‘Rana Pratap’. There was a debate competition on the topic ‘Is there any need of change in Indian Education System?’ A poetry competition was also organized on the topic ‘Present education system’. The ice on the cake was the Poster Making Competition on EDUCATION.
Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Murali distributed prizes to the enthusiastic winners of the event and motivated all the students present on a congratulatory note for being a part of such an enriching experience.
The event drew to a close with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Ritu Soryan on behalf of the organizing committee.
