PARENT TEACHER MEET

The bi-annual Parent Teacher Meet was organized at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 27th September, 2014. The event is organized to keep the parents informed about the performance of their wards and to address any issue. Heads of the Department and the team of mentors coordinated the event and ensured individual and personalized attention to the concerns of the parents.

The discussions with parents included the academic performance of students in First Sessional examinations, their regularity and punctuality, and involvement in academic and extra-curricular activities. The mentors informed the parents about the provision of the extra classes being held after the working hours and on weekends during the meeting. The parents were also informed about the initiatives taken by the department to ensure the soft skills of the students including activities being conducted by the Literary Club, the Smile Club, the Eco Club and various student chapters of different professional societies.

Parents were requested to be vigilant and in regular touch with the mentor of their ward as well as the Heads of the Department. Various suggestions were given by the parents regarding the frequency and medium of communicating the performance reports of their wards.

The parents appreciated the efforts being undertaken by the college and requested to organize more such interactive sessions so that they could closely monitor the academic and personal growth of their wards. Special attention was given by the mentors to the parents staying outstation or at long distance who were unable to attend the meeting in person, and interactive sessions with them were handled telephonically.
