TECHNICAL WRITING

Dronacharya Group of Institutions Greater Noida organized a one day Workshop on Technical Writing/ Communication on 28th September 2013. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rajeev Jain, Education and Scholarship Manager Society for Technical Communication. The objective of the workshop was to bridge the gap between Academia and Corporate and make the students Industry ready. The H.O.Ds, faculty members, and the students attended the workshop.

The event began with the motivational words of honorable Director of DGI Gr. Noida Prof. (Dr.) M.S. Murali who discussed the role of Technical Writing in present scenario.

The speaker, Mr. Rajeev Jain conducted various awareness sessions on Technical Writing that helped the students understand corporate needs and expectations from professionals. He encouraged the students to interact and shared their view point in terms of their career goals, their skills and their definition of Dream Job. He pointed out the attitude of today’s students who never try to realize their interests and skills. He cited the examples of well known movies “Three Idiots”, “Kai Po Che” and “Bhag Milkha Bhag”. He also highlighted the casual attitude of students towards some serious issues like copying the assignments and taking Summer Training, Industrial Visit, PDP Classes and Guest Lectures as formality and a break from regular studies.
