UI TECHNOLOGY

IEEE Student Branch of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a workshop on ‘User Interface Technology using Java’ inassociation with Nucleus Software Exports Ltd. on 26th March, 2014. It was conducted by Amit Kumar Srivastava, Free Lancer Java Corporate and Retail Trainer, Nucleus Software Exports Ltd., Noida.

Director Prof. (Dr.) M.S. Murali, DGI, Greater Noida welcomed Mr. Amit and hoped that students would have a lot to learn for their professional growth.

52 students of DGI, Greater Noida attended the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to provide the participants with a comprehensive knowledge on the development language of Java. As development of user interfaces (UIs) is one of the most time-consuming parts of application development, testing and maintenance, that reuse is essential in UI.

Mr. Srivastava explained that different technologies are available as part of Application Server ABAP (AS ABAP) for displaying an application to users; the option depends on the application required to run. He said when planning a project, one has to decide UI technology based on the technical prerequisites as well as the requirements for the planned application.

At the end of the session, Mr. Srivastava shared a practical view on Corporate Problems (Practical corporate problem solving in LAB). Students very enthusiastically attended the workshop.

The workshop came to an end with Vote of Thanks by Dr. Sarika Agarwal, Assistant Professor, DGI, Greater Noida. She thanked Mr. Srivastava for sparing his valuable and precious time.
