Workshop on ‘Touch Screen Robotics’ |

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida jointly organized two days workshop on Touch Screen Robotics during 14th - 15th February, 2014 in the college premises. The objective of the workshop was to equip the participants with the design and troubleshooting skills in the field of robotics. |

The program began with the floral welcome of resource person by Prof. (Dr.) M.S. Murali, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Prof. Rajiv Ranjan, Head of Department, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, DGI, Gr. Noida presented key note address. |

Ms. Shalini Shivhare, Manager, RoboSpecies Technologies Private Limited explained different modules of ROBOTICS workshop such as ROBO-BASIC, ROBO-MATLAB, ROBO-ADVANCE and ROBO-ULTRA. |

Mr. Pranjan Kumar, Research Engineer, Robo Species Technologies Pvt. Ltd. discussed the basics of ROBOT. He pointed out different technological concepts of Robo-Electronica, Robo-Autometa, Robo-Mobi, Robo-Lumina, Robo-Vision, Mat-Duino. |

Mr. Chanakya, Research Engineer, RoboSpecies Technologies Pvt. Ltd. helped participants in shorting- out problems encountered during assembly and interfacing. Later the participants were given an assignment as a group activity. |
|
On 15th February, 2014 Mr. Pranjan Kumar and Mr. Chanakya checked the progress of the projects and helped all participating groups to complete their projects. A project competition on ‘Line Follower Robot’ was organized by team Robo Species Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In the competition each group had to set their Robots in such a way that it would takes minimum time to follow a curved line. Finally three teams were selected to participate in ‘AAKAAR-2014’ at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai to be held on 8th March, 2014. |

The valedictory session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) M.S. Murali, Prof. B.L. Kaul, Registrar, DGI, Gr. Noida and Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Academic Administrator, DGI, Gr. Noida and HODs of all the department. Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Murali, congratulated the department for the successful completion of the workshop. |

The workshop was activity based and discussion oriented with euphoric sessions and lectures. It provided a concrete platform for researchers, academicians and engineers to discuss their research and innovations in the field of Robotics.
