Ten Students from Department of Computer Science & Technology accompanied by Ms. Amrita Ticku, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the Annual Conference of C# conducted by MindCracker held at Radisson Blue Hotel, Kaushambi on Saturday, 12th April, 2014. This event was organised by C# Delhi Chapter of Microsoft.

The conference proceedings were initiated by speaker Mr. Pinal Dave who gave a brief introduction about Secrets of SQL Server: Database Worst Practices. Mr. Pinal who is the Founder of SQL authority is a renowned Industry speaker, Profilic Blogger and Pluralsight Evangelist. He has authored 10 Pluralsight Courses and 10 SQL Server database books and have written over 2600 articles on the database technology on his blog at www.blog.sqlauthority.com. After this, the welcome address was delivered by founder of C# Corner, Mr. Mahesh Chand who gave detailed information about the information rich website www.c-sharpcorner.com. Mr. Mahesh has 15 years of experience, and has worked with several globally renowned companies such as Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Adidas, McGraw-Hill, Unisys, Exelon, Juniper, PMI and University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He shared with the audience that the website provides very informative articles and it has many areas which help to work globally.

The next speaker, Ms. Shradha Sharma, delivered a motivational speech. Ms. Shradha Sharma is the Founder of YourStory.com – India’s leading online platform for first generation Indian entrepreneurs. Prior to starting YourStory, Shradha was one of the youngest Assistant Vice Presidents at CNBC TV18 and also, a Brand Adviser at Times of India. The session was followed by specialization Track based deliveries, and the student team from Dronacharya Group of Institutions attended the session with Mr. Brij Bhushan Mishra, Microsoft MVP in ASP.NET/IIS since the last two years who gave technical information about Building Web applications with ASP.NET MVC5.It was followed by a brief introduction about ‘Windows Phone-Target your Application globally’ by Mr. Karthikeyan Anbarasan, Microsoft MVP, Architect and C# Corner Chennai Chapter Lead.

Post lunch, the students attended another wonderful technical Session delivered by Mr. Pinal Dave on ‘Indexes- The Unsung Hero’. The next speaker Mr. Prabhjot Singh, Executive Director, E-Consultancy-FZC Dubai – UAE, Consultant and Corporate Trainer deliberated on ‘Building Cloud based Connected Windows Phone and Windows 8 apps’.

The event came to an end with an invited talk from Mr. Chris Eargle, INETA Director and a Microsoft MVP on the topic ‘The Legend of Lambda’. The session was informative and interesting.
