The Computer Society of India Student Branch at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida was formally inaugurated in a glorious ceremony held on 28th December 2013 in the Institute Seminar Hall. The auspicious event was graced with the presence of:

Prof. R.K Vyas, Regional Vice President CSI as a Chief Guest,

Mr. Anuj Aggarwal, Founder Chairman CSI Noida Chapter,

Prof. D.K. Lobiyal, Regional Student Coordinator CSI and

Dr. Sunil Khatri, U.P. State Student Coordinator CSI, as Guests of Honor.

Dr. (Prof) M. S. Murali, Director DGI graced the occasion as a special guest of honor to shower his blessings.

Chief Guest Dr. R.K. Vyas formally announced the Inaugural by raising the curtain from the CSI Student Branch Establishment Plaque arranged outside the Seminar hall to mark the establishment of the Student Chapter. The honored guests then proceeded to the dais after a ribbon cutting ceremony at the entrance of the Seminar Hall.

To commence the inauguration on an auspicious note, and to embark upon a journey leading to the light of wisdom, a lamp lighting ceremony was performed by the guests present amidst chants of melodious Ganesh Stuti. Dr. (Prof) M.S. Murali, Prof. B.L. Kaul Registrar, DGI, and Prof. Ashwini Kumar, Administrator Academic presented the guests with bouquets as a token of respect.

Dr. (Prof) M.S. Murali delivered the welcome address and motivated the CSI team to contribute significantly towards the technical empowerment of the student members. He shared with the guests that our Institute is responsible not just for imparting knowledge, but for locating knowledge in the society in its quest for contributing to a better future. To further this cause, we encourage our students to join and actively participate in Professional Bodies like CSI, IEEE and ISTE. This also helps them to widen their professional network and to keep them abreast about the major developments in the domain of Information Technology. He wished that the CSI Student Chapter Inauguration shall be a milestone for the 200+ students and staff who are presently members of the CSI.

The welcome address was followed by unveiling the Student Chapter Certificate by Prof. R.K. Vyas, Mr. Anuj Agarwal, Dr. D.K. Lobiyal and Dr. Sunil Khatri amidst applaud from the audience. The same was presented to Dr. M. S. Murali, Director DGI.

Prof. T.P.N Singh, Advisor R&D DGI, delivered a detailed insight into the research and development initiatives being undertaken at the college. Prof. Sachin Gupta, CSI Student Branch Coordinator, DGI shared the details of the activities of the CSI Student Branch at DGI, in the year 2013 with the audience. He introduced the guests to the audience and invited Prof. R. K. Vyas to deliver the Inaugural Address.

Dr. R. K. Vyas in his Inaugural Address congratulated the students, staff and Management of Dronacharya Group of Institutions on the Inauguration of the CSI Student Branch and appreciated the contribution of both colleges towards CSI.

The event came to an end with a deep sense of resolve and commitment towards maintaining high standards in the CSI Student Branch at DGI, and presentation of memento to the esteemed guests.
