An Industrial Visit to Network Bulls Technologies, Gurgaon

18th March 2015

An Industrial visit to “Network Bulls Technologies” was organised by Dronacharya Group of Institution, Greater Noida on 18th March 2015, for 3rd Year Computer Science & Engineering students. The main objective of this industrial visit was to familiarise students with variety of network technologies like Router, Switches,Designing Network, Implementation of the Design & providing support to Network related issues.

Networks Bulls is a training organization which gives guidance & training in the field of networking. It also has world’s largest laboratories open 24x7 to allow access to various networking divisions. Network Bulls Technologies provides a variety of networking services starting from designing network, implementing the design, to providing the support for network related issues, and many more.

Mr. Damandeep, Networking Professional, Network Bulls addressed the students and delivered a lecture on introduction of “Routing and Switching” and explained the difference between the two. He said, Router routes between the network and Routing is a process which is done between two networks using IP addresses. On the other switch switches within the subnet, is termed as switching. In switching packets are transferred from source to destination using MAC address. Switching is done within the network. After the discussion, students were taken to the labs of Network Bulls for hands on experience which encompassed fully dedicated racks and devices, CCNA R&S, CCNA Security and CCNA Voice racks and devices, CCNP R&S, CCNP Security, CCNP Voice, CCIE R&S V5, CCIE Security V4 and CCIE Voice/Collaboration tracks. To equip students with advance concepts in networking leading to their eligibility for appearing in Global Certification examination on networking Mr. Damandeep told about some certification like

CCNA Certification is the associate level certification in Networking offered by Cisco. CCNA in Routing and switching covers basics of Cisco Networking and Routing switching technologies along with IP addressing schemes, routing basics, switching and Wan Technologies.

CCNP Certification is professional level certification in Routing & Switching Technologies offered by Cisco. After completion of CCNP Training, candidate will be able to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise Cisco networks. CCNP Security Certification gives in-depth knowledge of Network Security Technologies using Cisco ASA Firewalls, Routers, Switches and IPS Systems.

During the lab session, Mr. Damandeep, explained the features of every device. Thereafter in a hands on session, he demonstrated the usage of routers, different kinds of cables and ports. He further created a virtual network in Cisco Packet Tracer, and illustrated the sending and receiving of the packets over the network. He explained the students about the use of proxy servers so that an individual can gain access to the sites that are blocked by the administrator computer block.

Industrial Visit to Network Bulls Technologies was informative and useful for the students as they learnt about various CISCO Technologies and different types of certification programs in the field of networking. The students thoroughly enjoyed the teaching during the industrial visit and developed keen interest in the networking area. The session was concluded with students being awarded with participation certificates.
