  Report on
  One Week Co-ordinators Workshop
  on
  “Analog Electronics”
 
 
 

A one week Coordinators Workshop was organized by IIT Kharagpur on Analog Electronics from 1st April to 5th April, 2013. The main objective of this workshop was to provide a complete orientation to the prospective Workshop Coordinators, on the Methodology to be followed in the projects by providing live lectures through the AVIEW Mechanism of interaction with participants, and the local conduct of tutorials and labs.

 

The workshop commenced with an inaugural function on April 1st, after which, Prof. D. K. Sharma of IIT Bombay delivered a guest lecture on the topic How to analyze a simple diode circuit in different ways. Prof. Indrajit Chakrabarti of IIT Kharagpur gave a detailed description on BJT based circuits. Prof. Anindya Sunder Dhar of IIT Kharagpur talked about current mirrors and explained how current mirrors can be used to improve the problems associated with the circuits practically. Prof. Pradip Mandal talked about descriptive analysis of Differential Amplifiers. Prof. Somnath Sengupta and Prof. A. S. Dhar gave a detailed description about Feedback Amplifiers & Power Amplifiers.

 

The Coordinators from various colleges across all over India participated in this workshop. Mr. Shamim Alam, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering represented Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.

 

On 5th April, the workshop was concluded with a valedictory ceremony. Dr. K. Moudgalya, Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay was the Chief Guest for the event. He congratulated everyone for the successful completion of the workshop and also gave the certificates of participation to all the participants.
