Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ghaziabad organized two days International Conference on Issues and Challenges in Intelligent Computing Technique (ICICT-2014) during 7th - 8th February, 2014. The objective of theworkshop was to explore the recent issues and challenges in the field of intelligent computing.

Faculties, Research Scholars from various colleges and universities and industrialists participated in the conference. Ms. Shivangi Saxena, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida presented a paper entitled ‘Digital Arithmetic Circuit and Elimination of PC using Memristor’.

The conference started with lighting of the lamp followed by the key note address by Dr. N. R Pal (Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata). Fellow of Indian National Science Academy (FNA), Fellow of the International Fuzzy Systems Association (FIFSA) and a Fellow of the IEEE, USA (FIEEE).

In her presentation Ms. Shivangi discussed about memristor the fourth fundamental element. This paper dealt with the modeling of the memristor in MATLAB environment and its subsequent applications as a non-volatile digital memory and in arithmetic circuits.

The conference was concluded with a valedictory ceremony. Mr. Shashi Bhushan, Director, School of Computer and Information Sciences, IGNOU Delhi congratulated the organizing committee for the successful conference. The participants received certificates of participation by the resource person.
