Workshop on Embedded System

DUCAT, Noida conducted a Workshop on “Embedded Systems” on 2nd September 2015. The workshop was organized by Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in the DGI, Seminar Hall. The objective of the workshop was to create awareness among the students about the Embedded Systems Technology and its practical applications. 56 Students (ECE/EEE) attended the workshop.

Mr. Amit, Sr. Trainer, DUCAT and Mr. Mukesh Sharma, Marketing Manager, DUCAT were the resource persons for the workshop.

The workshop began with the floral welcome of Resource persons. Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bagga, Director, DGI, Gr. Noida motivated the students and briefed about Embedded Systems and its uses in the field of Robotics .

Mr. Amit started the workshop with the introduction of Embedded System. He explained that embedded system can be built to solve specific problems.He also gave an example of a controller embedded in an elevator which directs the motor to move the elevator to different floors based commands given by buttons that are pushed. Similarly a decoder embedded in a satellite television set-top box reads a signal from the dish and sends information that a TV can decode and display.

He then discussed about Android with Embedded Systems and Kiel Software that is used in making the Embedded Systems Projects. Thereafter he showed one video where all Robots were playing Football Match which highlighted the synchronization aspect and obeying the preset commands.

He further demonstrated Android based Robots which can move forward and backward, right and left according to the instructions given by Android phone.
