Around 100 eminent personalities including industrialists, academicians, business leaders and management scholars participated in this symposium to discuss the best practices of making India a hub of human capital and to learn the insights of top business leaders to put forward new ways of enriching human resources for the growth of industry in India.

Mr. Vijay K. Thadani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, NIIT Ltd. inaugurated the session and welcomed Chief Guest Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog and other distinguished guests and audience.

Mr. Kant, said that Government of India has created a competitive spirit to encourage the sentiments of investors across globe and has taken many initiatives in order to strengthen its economy.

Mr. S Y Siddiqui, Chief Mentor, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., emphasized on the proper strategy to measure the excellences of working professionals regularly instead of keeping record of experience in the resume just switching for a quick salary jump, in his address on “Talent Development Strategies for Competitiveness”.

Mr. Siddiqui added that high performers always set their career goals, ascertain their market worth, skills and competencies, and measure prospective employers based on organizational culture, work - quality life, future growth prospects, role adaptability and social service before taking the intentional decisions. He said that it was the responsibility of employers to provide opportunities to employees to gain varied experience within the organization and grow into successful leaders.

Mr. S Sandilya, Chairman, Eicher Ltd. believed that learning may come even from the junior person, in his talk over “Innovative Work Place for Maximising Performance”. Further Mr. Sandilya stressed upon creating a culture of good relationship between employer and employees instead of making rules, to maximize the performance of worker and productivity at workplace as well.

Mr. Pramod Bhasin, Vice Chairman, Genpact India, shared his worthy insights and optimistic ideas during the session on “Make in India - Incubating Leaders for Tomorrow”. He suggested avoiding use of prefix like “Sir” by the subordinates or any employee at any level of management to their seniors in the organization, because one’s recognition with name indicates honor and respect in itself. This practice helps create an environment of happiness and confidence in others at workplace. Mr. Bhasin spread a strong positive message for the future business leaders in his talk.

The event came to an end with high network tea.
